Founder & Chief Executive Officer · HORNO Network
25+ years building infrastructure, blockchain and high-performance hardware. Today leading HORNO Network — the decentralized storage and social identity layer quietly rebuilding the economics of the web from Dubai, Milan and London.
Vincenzo doesn't run a recruiting team and doesn't go live. This Space is editorial — his letters, essays and keynotes only.

Vincenzo Picciuolo is the Founder and CEO of HORNO Network, the decentralized storage and social identity platform headquartered in Dubai. He has spent more than two decades building production systems across telecommunications, finance, defense and emerging blockchain infrastructure.
In 2021 he began researching a radically new way to manage files — a distributed, user-owned storage protocol that could replace centralized cloud silos. In 2022 that research became HFS (HORNO File System), the first working prototype of a peer-distributed, verifiable storage layer. He kept building in his free time, fully self-funded, hardening encryption, sharding and proof-of-storage in real production conditions.
By 2025 the full technology stack was working end-to-end. He named the project HORNO — Host Resource Node — and filed the patents that protect the core technology. On April 29, 2026 HORNO was officially launched on stage at the World Token Summit 30in Dubai. His engineering focus stays on the physical layer of the internet — storage, bandwidth, attestation — and on the economics that let ordinary people own a piece of it.
He writes regularly on DePIN, proof-of-storage and the social layer of decentralized networks, and speaks at industry events from Dubai to Milan to Singapore. His leadership style is publicly described as "boring with money, ambitious with mission".
"We don't need a million users. We need a million owners."
"Physics is undefeated. Design with the constraints, not against them."
"I'd rather build a slower company that lasts thirty years than a faster one that lasts thirty months."

Why decentralized physical infrastructure is quietly absorbing the workloads cloud providers used to monopolize — and what builders should do about it.
A practical breakdown of how HORNO verifies that real bytes are stored on real devices — and why this matters for the next billion users.
We refused a public token. Twice. Here's the reasoning, the tradeoffs, and what we built instead with PICO Credits and USDT payouts.
Telecom, HFT, defense, blockchain. The same physics. The same boring discipline. A personal note on building things that last.
Why the next decade of decentralized networks will be won at the device layer — and how HORNO is preparing for it.
A short essay on why HORNO treats its members as co-owners of the infrastructure, not as a growth funnel.
